What a corporate IP number is
An IP phone number is a real telephone number that lives on the internet instead of on a SIM or a copper line. In Bangladesh these numbers start with 096 and can only be issued by IPTSP operators licensed by BTRC. Any mobile or landline can call it, and it shows as your caller ID when you call out.

Documents we need
Operators are required by BTRC to verify who owns every number. A complete set is usually approved the same working day.
Photograph each document flat, in daylight, with all four corners visible. The documents checklist shows what an accepted copy looks like and why submissions get rejected.

- Trade license (current year), NID of the proprietor or authorised person (both sides), a passport-size photo, mobile number and email. Limited companies add the incorporation certificate and an authorisation letter.
- Individual or new business
- NID (both sides), a photo, mobile number and email. Transfer the number to the business when the trade license is issued.
- School, NGO, institution
- Registration certificate in place of the trade license, plus the NID and photo of an authorised officer and an authorisation letter.

How much does an IP phone number cost in Bangladesh?
With IPCallBD the number itself is free. You pay for the Cloud PBX plan it runs on (৳500, ৳750, or ৳1,000 a month) and for outgoing calls at 40 paisa plus 15% VAT per minute, billed per second. Incoming calls are free.
What does a 096 number mean?
096 is the range BTRC assigns to IP telephony in Bangladesh. The next two digits identify the licensed operator and the remaining six are your subscriber number. Any mobile or landline can call it.
Which documents do I need?
For a business: the trade license, the NID of the proprietor or authorised person (both sides), a passport-size photo, and a working mobile number and email. An individual can register with NID and photo only, and transfer the number to the business later.
How long does it take to get the number?
Usually within 24 hours of a complete document set. We check the copies the same hour you send them, submit to the operator, and configure your PBX and extensions as soon as the number is approved.
Can I choose a memorable number?
Yes, subject to availability with the operator. Tell us the pattern you want (repeated digits, a sequence, or digits matching your brand) and we will send the options we can reserve. Some premium patterns carry a one-time fee set by the operator.
Can I use the number on my mobile phone?
Yes. Each person on your team installs the free Zoiper app on their Android or iPhone, or uses a desk IP phone, and makes and receives calls on the business number from anywhere with internet.
